The origin of cabbage is the Mediterranean coast and our country. Now cabbage can be grown in all regions of China, especially in the north, where it is more common and suitable for the growth of cabbage. According to the planting time, it can be divided into spring cabbage, summer cabbage and autumn cabbage, mainly concentrated in June-August.

Cabbage growth cycle

The growth cycle of Chinese cabbage is about 55 days, which is divided into three main periods: the seedling stage after germination, the most critical rosette stage, and the heading stage with the highest fertilizer demand. The maintenance of these three stages is closely related to the final quality of the cabbage.

Methods and steps for growing cabbage

1. Seedlings

Gently pick up the cabbage seedlings, with the roots facing downwards, and use the shovel to diagonally insert the roots of the seedlings into the pit from the top of the planting pit. Be careful not to insert them too deep.

2. Press the soil

Use your hand to straighten the cabbage seedlings that have been inserted into the soil. Use your other hand to take out a shovel and push the soil towards the roots of the plant. Use your thumb to press the soil at the roots to firmly fix the seedlings in the planting hole.

3. Planting

Cabbage should be planted at a reasonable planting density, usually 20 cm per row, with one plant every 15 cm. After mastering the distance, you can continue to plant other cabbage seedlings.
