Blueberries are usually planted from April to July each year. If they are grown in a greenhouse, they can also be planted in April and May. If they are grown outdoors, they are suitable for planting in June. If they are late-maturing varieties, they are suitable for planting in July.

Blueberry growth cycle

Blueberries can be harvested in the season. Its growth process mainly has three stages. The first stage: the flower buds of blueberries begin to sprout, the outer coat of the flower buds will crack, revealing light-colored scales; the second stage: the tips of leaf buds begin to grow, and about 2 mm of green tissue will grow; the third stage: after the flowers are pollinated, they will bear fruit.

Methods and steps for growing blueberries

1. Planting of seedlings:

To plant blueberries, first prepare a large flowerpot and put some small stones at the bottom of the pot, about 1/3 of the total. Then, take out the seedlings and place them in the middle of the pot. Then, fill the pot with soil so that there are no gaps. Finally, water the soil in the pot thoroughly.

2. Sowing and Planting:

Blueberries can also be planted from seeds. Take the seeds from ripe blueberries, pick the brown seeds, place the seeds on moist absorbent cotton, keep the absorbent cotton moist to prevent it from drying out, and after germination, transfer them to pots for sowing.
