Aloe vera is a perennial evergreen herb. Before planting, you need to prepare neutral soil with good air permeability and water permeability and a flower pot of appropriate size. During the cultivation process, maintain the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry, provide a temperature of about 20°C and sufficient light, which can promote the growth of aloe vera. Aloe Vera Planting Method1. Selection of potting soil Before planting aloe vera, you should choose a flowerpot that is suitable for the growth of the plant. It should not be too large or too small. The soil can be mixed with humus, coarse sand, and garden soil. The proportion of coarse sand should not be too high, because sandy soil can easily lead to the loss of water and nutrients, causing malnutrition. 2. Planting method There are two ways to grow aloe vera: division propagation and cutting propagation. Division propagation is usually carried out in early spring. Take the plant out of the potting soil, select the healthy seedlings at the base and pot them in another pot. It does not need to be planted too deep. Water less in the early stage of potting, and wait half a month before watering thoroughly. The rooting time of cutting propagation is relatively long. Cut leaves about 10 cm long from the top of the old plant as cuttings. The incision needs to be smeared with wood ash and dried for two days. After that, it can be inserted into the potting soil and keep the soil moist. Aloe vera planting tips1. Sunlight: Aloe vera is suitable for growing in an environment with plenty of sunlight. Try to keep the daily sunshine time at about 6-7 hours. It is not resistant to direct sunlight, so it is best to provide moderate shade in midsummer to prevent the leaves from being sunburned. 2. Temperature: Aloe vera is afraid of cold, and the best breeding environment is between 15-30℃. The most suitable growth temperature is 20℃. If it is lower than 0℃, the plant will easily die, and if it is higher than 30℃, it will also easily wither. In summer, you need to spray water to increase the air humidity around the plant to lower the temperature. 3. Water and fertilizer: Aloe vera has a certain degree of drought resistance and does not require excessive watering. In midsummer, you can maintain a watering frequency of 3-5 days, and reduce the number of watering in winter. Aloe vera is mainly fertilized with calcium phosphate or compound fertilizer. Apply more fertilizer when the temperature is high and the growth is fast, and apply less fertilizer otherwise. |
