Planting methods and precautions for holy lotus potted plants

When cultivating the holy lotus, all the conditions required for its growth must be met, so as to promote its better growth. In general, the cultivation of the holy lotus potted plants requires maintenance from the soil, temperature, light and other conditions. Only when these conditions become good, the holy lotus will grow well.

How to plant potted sacred lotus

1. Soil

The first thing to talk about is the soil. The holy lotus generally grows in rivers and ponds, or it is best where the clean water is not flowing. Therefore, when planting the holy lotus, it is best to use river pond mud, or soil close to the lotus pond. The soil in the rice field can also be used as the mud for planting the holy lotus, but it needs to be loosened and cannot become compacted, otherwise it will be detrimental to the growth of the roots of the holy lotus.

2. Temperature

When planting holy lotus, we need to control the temperature between 8 and 10 degrees so that it will sprout and grow quickly, but the temperature cannot exceed 35 degrees. The temperature in summer is relatively high and it will stop growing. All temperatures for cultivating holy lotus need to be controlled between 22 and 35 degrees.

3. Lighting

The holy lotus grows best in a sunny and well-ventilated location. It needs to be exposed to sunlight for at least seven hours a day. If the light exposure time is insufficient, its flowering period will be shortened or even stop blooming. Therefore, it should be placed outdoors in spring, autumn and winter. It can be shaded in summer, but it needs to be placed in a place with scattered light.

Precautions for the maintenance of holy lotus

The holy lotus will inevitably be threatened by pests and diseases during its growth, so preventive measures must be taken in the process of cultivating the holy lotus. When the plant is infected with pests and diseases, it must be treated with appropriate drugs immediately. At the same time, when watering the holy lotus, you should pay attention to watering in winter when the temperature is highest at noon, and avoid watering during the high temperature period at noon in summer. In addition, you need to wipe its leaves frequently with a wet towel to ensure the cleanliness of the leaves.
