How to raise rootless lucky bamboo (hydroponics cultivation methods and steps for rootless lucky bamboo)

How to grow lucky bamboo without roots

The rootless lucky bamboo is mainly grown in water , and its roots are grown through water culture. After the root system is well developed, it can be changed to soil culture.

Of course, if you like hydroponics, you can always grow it in a glass bottle. It is not only very ornamental, but also relatively easy to maintain. Here is a brief sharing of the maintenance method of rootless lucky bamboo. If you grow rootless lucky bamboo in this way, it will easily grow a strong root system.

First, prepare the glass container and pruning knife

First trim the roots of the lucky bamboo into an oblique surface, with an angle of about 45 degrees being the best.

The incision should be smooth to facilitate the rooting and germination of lucky bamboo. The pruning knives should be disinfected first to reduce the probability of bacterial infection and facilitate survival.

Second, peel off some of the leaves near the roots.

Just leave some leaves on the top. The advantage of doing this is that it can reduce the consumption of some nutrients, allowing the lucky bamboo to have enough nutrients and promote rooting.

If there are too many leaves, the nutrients of the lucky bamboo will be consumed too quickly, and some nutrients and water will need to be consumed from the stems, which may even cause the leaves to turn yellow or even wither.

Third, hydroponic solution

For the rootless lucky bamboo, it is better to use clean water. It needs clean water rich in oxygen and high activity.

You can also use some natural water, such as rainwater, which is a good choice. Rainwater contains some mineral elements, which are good for the growth of lucky bamboo.

If you use tap water, put it in another container and leave it for 2-3 days before use to allow the chlorine compounds in the water to evaporate before use.

Fourth, maintenance

After following the above steps, place the lucky bamboo in a cool and well-ventilated place for maintenance. Do not expose it to the sun or apply fertilizer, and you can easily grow a root system for the rootless lucky bamboo.

After taking root, maintain it for a period of time. When the root system is strong, you can switch to soil cultivation if you like it. In fact, the ornamental value of hydroponics is higher than that of soil cultivation .
