How to grow spider plants so that they can grow vines quickly (how to care for and control spider plants to grow more branches)

Methods of artificial intervention in the growth of spider plants:

The speed of the spider plant's vine growth depends mainly on the early maintenance. Suitable soil for growth, timely light, and appropriate water and fertilizer management. Only by giving it a strong physique can you help limit water and increase light to promote the growth of spider plants.

(1) Fertilization:

If you want the spider plant to grow vines, you need a transition period of time. Only when the spider plant grows vigorously but does not grow vines can you intervene manually.

When manually intervening in the growth of spider plants, first find a healthy spider plant. Apply nitrogen-based fertilizer 1 to 2 times. You can dilute urea 500 times with water and water it in the soil. The interval between two fertilizations is 10 days.

(2) Water restriction:

After applying nitrogen fertilizer twice, start limiting water. Limit the water supply to the spider plant when it has absorbed the nitrogen but has not yet fully exerted its fertilizer effect.

During this period, the spider plant has accumulated enough nutrients for germination, but when it is under water restriction and feels its life is threatened, it is most likely to switch to reproductive growth.

(3) Lighting:

Chlorophytum is shade-tolerant, but it is a light-loving plant. If it is kept in a location with less than 3 hours of light for a long time, the ability of Chlorophytum to reproduce and grow will be reduced.

While limiting water, keep the spider plant in full sun. The light increases, but the temperature should be controlled within 30 degrees Celsius. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, otherwise it will easily cause leaf burns.

(4) Process progress:

Fertilize, limit water, and increase light. Each time you water, you need to wait until the leaves of the spider plant are slightly curled toward the center before you can water it.

After three times of water restriction, the spider plant can be placed in a location with scattered light. At this time, the spider plant has transformed vegetative growth into reproductive growth, and maintenance can return to daily care.
