Advantages and Disadvantages of Black Buck Rose

Advantages and Disadvantages of Black Buck Rose

Among the tens of thousands of rose varieties, red, yellow, pink, green, orange, and even two colors in one flower are everywhere, but the most unexpected one is the black rose Black Buck. It is a Danish cut rose. The flower color is dark red with a hint of black. The adult plant can reach 180 cm. Its petals have a wine-like color that is full of high-end feeling, and the texture feels like velvet, silky and smooth.

Black Buck Rose Advantages

The advantage of Black Buck rose is that it can bloom all year round, the petals are large, and the color of the flowers can change with sunlight, which is very mysterious.

Black Buck Rose Disadvantages

The shortcomings of the Black Buck rose are also obvious. It has poor cold resistance and drought resistance. Its petals will turn outward, making it look like it is withering. If you don't like this kind of flower shape, don't buy it.

Black Buck Maintenance Tips

1. Soil

Black Buck has higher soil requirements and can grow in slightly alkaline soil. It will grow and bloom better in neutral or slightly acidic soil containing humus and good drainage.

2. Lighting

Black Buck's love for sunlight far exceeds that of other roses. It needs at least eight hours of sunlight a day. It will grow very poorly under the shade of trees, and in severe cases it may not bloom.

3. Moisture

Black Buck cannot tolerate waterlogging. Once it is exposed to excessive rain, the roots and leaves will turn yellow and fall off. However, it likes a humid environment, so you should spray some water around it frequently to keep the soil moist.
