Cultivation methods and precautions of Guanyin fern

Cultivation methods and precautions of Guanyin fern

The Guanyin fern is relatively easy to grow. It is suitable for growing in loose, breathable, slightly acidic soil rich in humus. It can be mixed with leaf mold, bark, sawdust, etc., and as long as it is properly maintained, it can grow vigorously.

Cultivation method of Guanyin fern

1. Lighting

The Guanyin fern is a short-day plant with a certain degree of shade tolerance. It can be placed in an environment with sufficient diffuse light for daily cultivation. Giving it soft diffuse light can meet the growth needs of the Guanyin fern. In summer, when the light is too strong, shade measures must be taken to avoid strong light burning the leaves.

2. Moisture

The drought tolerance of the Guanyin fern is poor. In the process of cultivating the Guanyin fern, if the soil is found to be dry, it is necessary to water it in time to keep it moist and avoid water accumulation in the soil. If water accumulation is found in the soil, the soil needs to be loosened in time so that the accumulated water can be drained as soon as possible.

3. Fertilizer

The Guanyin fern likes fertilizer very much. When cultivating the Guanyin fern, it is necessary to apply decomposed organic fertilizer every 7-10 days during its growth period to supplement the nutrients needed by the Guanyin fern.

Precautions for the maintenance of Guanyin fern

When caring for the Guanyin fern, you should note that the Guanyin fern is suitable for growing in a warm environment. If the temperature is lower than 5℃, the leaves of the Guanyin fern will become soft and yellow. When the temperature is lower, the Guanyin fern needs to be transferred indoors for maintenance to avoid frostbite.
