How to plant violet seeds

How to plant violet seeds

Violet flowers usually wither in autumn from August to October. Usually, violet seeds can be harvested after the flowers wither.

After harvesting, you need to select relatively full and disease-free seeds and soak them to increase their germination rate. After processing the seeds, spread them evenly in the soil at a depth of about 7-8 cm. After sowing, you need to cover them with vermiculite and maintain a certain humidity.

Violet seed sowing time

Violet seeds germinate best in an environment of 15-18 degrees, and it is best to sow them in March and April each spring. At this time, the climate is warm, the sun is shining, and the precipitation is abundant, which is very good for the germination and growth of violet seeds, thus meeting its growth needs.

How to plant violet seeds

When sowing violet seeds, the potting soil should be watered enough. It is not suitable to water directly after sowing. If you see the soil turning white, you can spray it with a spray bottle or use the pot immersion method to keep the soil moist. Water it thoroughly after planting. In the early stage of growth, the water should be controlled to keep the seedlings stunted and the soil slightly moist and dry. Generally, water it once every 3-4 days. The lower the temperature, the less watering should be done. After the surrounding temperature rises, the amount of watering should be increased appropriately.
