Growing directions
Direct sow godetia into lean, well-drained soil in early spring, barely covering the fine seed. It resents rich soil and heavy feeding, which produce foliage at the expense of the satiny cup-shaped blooms. Thin seedlings to 8-12 inches and keep evenly moist until established, then water sparingly. Cool weather intensifies the pink and lavender flower colors, so it performs best in spring and early summer before extreme heat.
